My Knitting Class

This is the class that I took yesterday at the Tinsmith's Wife's Yarn Shop in Comfort, TX. It was a BLAST. I had a magnificent time, got to see some amazingly gorgeous yarn, learn a new (and REALLY interesting knitting style), and picked up about a ZILLION more knitting projects that I want to do. I wish Comfort was closer, because I'd love to be a regular at this fantastic shop.

These felted roses, using a knitting needle for the stem, grabbed my heart. I will be making these in tons of colors and make myself a gorgeous arrangement!

I just couldn't get enough of these roses. They are creative, look like they would work up fast, could be done with scrap/stash yarn, and just really REALLY appeal to me.

This is the little gazebo in the "center" of Comfort. We ate a block away at a sandwich shop on High St, visited the "Sweet Comfort" chocolate shop, and would have loved to poke around in some of the other shops too. But the Tinsmith's was certainly my favorite!

I had a marvelous day. I bought the most expensive ball of yarn I've EVER bought and I can't wait to make something magnificent (for myself for once) with it.
